Best of the Best 2026
Join us for the annual Best of the Best Dance Showcase! The highly anticipated event celebrates some of the best Dance Teams in the nation as they perform their competitive routines, spanning multiple different styles. New this year, the event has expanded to include College Cheer performances as well! As expected, the 23x UDA National Champion University of Minnesota Dance Team will reveal their 2026 Pom and Jazz Routines to open and close the show - which they will compete at UDA Nationals the following weekend.
Homecoming
Calling all Spirit Squad Alumni! Return to your alma mater, and join us for Homecoming Weekend. Start with the Homecoming Parade down University Avenue on Friday night, then over to Huntington Bank Stadium on Saturday as your Golden Gophers take on Purdue. Spirit Squad alums are invited back to the sidelines to cheer on the Gophers during the second quarter of the football game. More info in the Newsletter linked below!
Family Day
Join us for Family Day! Formerly known as “Parents Day”, we are expanding the reach of this great event to include alumni, friends, future Gophers, and of course, families! The Family Day event will start with an exclusive performance by the Cheer and Dance team, followed by Senior Spirit Squad member recognitions. After the performance, there will be an extended period of social fellowship with a DJ, yard games, and light refreshments. After the event, head to Huntington Bank Stadium to watch the Golden Gophers Football team take on Rutgers University!
Doors will open at 6:50am, and the Family Day Showcase will begin at 7:00am. The event will wrap up around 9:00am in preparation for the Football game at 11:00am.
High School Band, Cheer, Dance Day
Join us for Gopher Football's annual High School Band, Cheer, Dance Day and cheer the Gophers on to victory over Northwestern State Demons! Cheer and dance participants will have the opportunity to practice and perform with the Gopher Spirit Squad and the Pride of Minnesota Marching Band throughout the day, culminating in a halftime performance with all the participating teams, bands and University groups.
US National Team Showcase
Come see the United States National Team! The 23x National Champion University of Minnesota Dance Team is prepared to take on the world as they represent the United States in international competition at the 2025 ICU World Championships. This showcase will be the only time to see the US National Team before they depart for the World Championships. The team will be debuting a brand new Jazz routine, created exclusively for the ICU World Championships.

Spirit Squad Alumni Game
The Gopher Spirit Squad is excited to invite our alumni to campus on February 25th for a night of community and recognition at the Men's Basketball game as they take on the Northwestern Wildcats!
Spirit Squad alumni will be recognized during halftime for their contribution to the game day experience at athletic events across campus since 1898! We are also honored to be recognizing Sarah Kasner, Coed Cheer team alum and former coach, with her family for her contributions as a Spirit Squad alum and for her family's fight against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

UDA Nationals Showcase
Come watch as the Minnesota Dance Team, Cheerleaders, and Goldy Gopher perform their UCA/UDA Nationals Routines! UMDT will perform both their Pom and Jazz routines. This will be the final performance in Minnesota before UDA College Nationals!
